    Gasket set quality

im getting ready to start rebuilding my gp1200r and gathering the necessary parts ..gaskets Yamaha $525 ...sbt $189 ...pwc $229 then theres winderosa (made in usa) and wsm (made in usa) not thinking of using any cheap Chinese crap ...personally I have a really hard time forking over 525 for Yamaha gaskets so how about some feed bak from the experts

oem only! You get what you pay for! Also try yamahapartshouse probably much cheaper than 500+

i bought cheap gaskets on ebay.. the only 2 worth using were the base gasket and the head gasket. i threw the rest away because they were garbage.

SBT is fine, I cote my gaskets in yamahabond 1211 anyways. You just want to make sure the gasket compresses

I will be controversial here... for the 66v, SBT has been fine for all but crank seals (use OEM). For the 65u, fine for all but crank seals (use OEM+sealant!) and carbs (use Mikuni).
