    Wedge or waste of time?

Took my wedge off to help with rough water handling and I prefer it off.
    But here's the deal
The highest recorded GPS was 75.6 1/3 tank 82F with the wedge.
Today I broke that record today, NO WEDGE 84F, 1/3 fuel at 75.8.
Isnt the wedge surpose to add MPHs?

i never had luck with the riva wedge. i do not run them when doing a rec boat. PPG makes a better wedge.

I just took my wedge & rod ext. off a few days ago & I must admit I prefer it off. I even took the reverse bucket off, not by choice though, & it's so much easier to play around in the pump area now without it. I rarely ever use the reverse anyway so it might stay off.

I forgot to mention that I put the Nose cone back on as well.
Are we messing with things just to make us feel better.
No speed loss with the nose cone on and the wedge off
    Go figure..................

Same here. Are you going to completely remove the reverse system on yours (handle, cable, etc.)? Im thinking about donig that just to get more junk out of the way.

Hmm, and I think I might have to try not running a wedge sometime this year.

Antiguan, quick question about how you came to your results here...Did you back to back test both? If not, results could be skewed some, especially by tenths of a mph.

My ski feel stronger out the hole with the wedge off. The wedge I feel is only good in glass waters. Even when rec riding on the lake I ditch the wedge.

    Thumbs up

I run the wedge (2 degree Riva) on my RXP. Couldn`t ride without it. Highly recommend one.
