    rxpx 260 hull repair

    Hello sea doo experts
Here is what I found: 2013 rxpx in mint condition with 39 original hours that has a severely cracked hull, ski sank and swallowed water while running and I guess bent a rod, so after recovery the engine has been cleaned out and running now but knocking and lower compression on rear cylinder, 70psi only.
the engine is no big deal to fix for me, the problem is the hull , severely cracked on rear right corner, just below railing, a 1 square foot of glass is mission on top edge.
my question is : does anybody here has experience about repair that big on that kind of ski? the repair won't be easy even with engine out as the majority of the crack is below foot well.
does anybody have a hull for sale here?
    thank's for the advise

the gap above the sponson is where the piece is missing

that's pretty bad, I wouldn't try to repair such a major hole on that ski.

The bottom is SMC and top is (chop) standard fiberglass.

I've repaired, modded and altered my share of skis (stand-ups) that use a combination SMC (bottom) and fiberglass (top deck). As long as you use epoxy resin, combination of 1708 Biaxial, e-cloth and mat. Its amazing what can be done in jobs that you would think are too far gone.

However.... Due to the heavy weight of these skis, the heavy power-plant and amount of damage I see in those pictures, I'd pass on fixing this (I see missing chunks). If you want do fix it so you can flip it (sell), I hope you mention this to the buyer. But if you REALLY want to fix it, I would have a pro do this. This is way past DIY. The way I would fix this is take a mold off a similar T3 SeaDoo and use that to graph into the hull. This ain't cheap but requires experience and time.

PM me if you want this done professionally

thank's for all replies , I don't plan on doing it myself and I would prefer replacing the hull but it might be hard to find.
sorry but is the bottom FRC or SMC ? I did not buy and pay for the ski yet, trying to find out how to do the job right before making an offer and submit all the options to the potential seller.
the person who crashed the ski had no insurance and the ski has been hit by a 2013 rxtx with 45 hours on it , only the nose had damage and has been repaired since.
    Sending a pm to Sanfish
    thanks
