Replace Yamaha 2012 FXHO cruiser rear compartment locks
New here, and need help with replacing the rear compartment locks on my wife's FXHO cruiser ('12). It looks like they are riveted in place... My question is, Do you need to drill out the old lock mounts and rivet the new ones back in place.? Can I use thru bolts? How easy/difficult is this? I've looked around in here, and had no luck finding a specific thread on this topic. Heard it was quite a common problem with these suckers, surprised I couldn't find anything on it. Any help is appreciated an if possible, step by step for this noob would be great... THANKS.

Do you have any warranty on that unit? That is a common problem with those boats, I saw a new one on the dealer floor that year and both locks were broke before it was even delivered. Talk to a dealer near you and see if they will coverit.
