I goofed so please help
95 xp 800 connected the little black ground wire from the coil box to the HOT + side of the battery...oops wrong side "crap"
Coil got very hot and now no fire. checked every fuse and still no fire, other than that everything works
please please help
waiting and watching....

check the cdi unit in the cover of the electric box..the white wire with green strip may be melted..and if it is , so is the cdi.
common mistake btw....

ok just went out and looked in the box (mpem) box and all looks good (new) but the wires on the coil box fuses ends i replaced cause they were melted but still useable but i replaced them anyway.

I have those XP800 parts if you end up needing them. Hopefully it's just a coil but if you need the cdi it ends in 810, not 811 like the 96XP's. The 95's have a better timing curve

Well i got the CDI box from Matt here on the forum and it didnt fix my spark issue... Now What
I need help as this is not my ski but i need to get it fixed..
No fire.. Checked fuses again-changed coil-changed cdi box.
The oem coil got really hot before i realized what i did! The only melted wires we're in the rear coil box at the 2 fuse holders and fuses NOT blown. I replaced them with "bladed" plugs to hold a fuse. There are NO other melted wiring anywhere else
*** I need HELP with this please

Make sure your getting a pulsating signal of low voltage on the white wire as you spin the engine over. This will verify the pickup in the mag cover is doing it's thing. You did try a different coil, right?
