Arrow 1997 Polaris SL 900 engine, SBT rebuild with 2 hours run time - what is it worth?

I have a 'complete' SL 900 engine here with a story. I have no need for this engine. Looking for an idea what it is worth, as a whole kit or for the pieces.

It belonged to a friend who installed it direct from SBT, with warranty. It was initially hooked up with the CEN and PTO spark plugs wires crossed which caused several backfires. It was then taken for a test ride, seemed to run well enough (I was not present for the test ride). Engine was then fogged and then the entire SL 900 sat in a dry garage for a couple of years, not being used at all.

I then borrowed it to use in a group ride. It lasted less than four minutes before the crank locked up. I didn't even get it on plane

Turns out the initial backfiring had torn the rear crank seals apart. While it sat in storage the rear crank bearing was exposed to the air and rusted just enough to fail when I borrowed it.

I later pulled the crank out and had all four crank shaft outer bearings replaced by a local engine shop. When it seized the rearmost bearing had micro welded itself to the shaft so the engine shop refinished that area and pronounced the crankshaft good.

The crankshaft is plastic wrapped and oil coated. It has been boxed up like that ever since I got it home with the new end bearings. The crankcase has been sitting on a shelf so it needs the dust and old gasket material cleaned off.

The rest of the engine has been sitting patiently waiting for me to do something with it. The SBT pistons and rings are sitting inside the SBT cylinders with the SBT heads attached. Everything has maybe two hours run time. It just needs to be assembled!

I have virtually everything that was attached to the 900 engine when I lifted it out of the hull. Keihin carburetors with accelerator pump, intake manifold, reeds, exhaust manifold, flywheel housing, stator (original 1997 version) flywheel, flywheel housing cover, oil pump. Also have the matching 1997 CDI.

Water manifold and thermostat is also in there too, I think.

Question: Does anybody want to make an offer on the whole kaboodle?
Shipping would be from Grand Island, NY 14072.

If no interest in the entire package, what are the pieces worth these days?

Click the link for more photos of the crankshaft and engine cases, cylinders, carburetors, etc. Everything looks good to my eyes.

Based on my experience parting a good number of these skis out... the demand is significantly lower for a 1050/900 than a 1200.

You should be able to get $200 for the crankshaft. $50-75 per cyl (they take a LONG time to sell). The cases and the carbs are impossible to get rid of. I have a dozen 1050/1200 carbs here and I cant give them away.

Stuff like that also sells on ebay much more easily than anywhere else.

I have someone interested in the crank shaft and the engine cases.

Looking for interest in the stator, CDI, flywheel.

Cylinders with matching pistons, rings and heads.

And the Keihin carburetors with accelerator pump.

I sell the entire ebox, stator, and flywheel together on eBay and its almost always bought by someone overseas.

Id list that for around $275 buy it now
