How to transfer a PWC to a maintenance cart - by yourself

I needed to work on my trailer recently and needed to transfer the ski to the shop cart.

    Here's how I did it.

Now how did you get it back on the trailer?

    Who are you asking?

I use the winch strap to pull the hull back onto the bunks and forward into position. It is important to have the shop cart and trailer bunks at similar heights. Too much height difference typically requires a couple of people to lift the hull and help guide it onto the trailer bunks as the winch is cranked.

That's why you see my trailer on ramps in the photos. I bought the shop cart off Craigslist for $40 and the bunks on it are about 8 inches higher than my trailer bunks, so I had to improvise...

I'm going to try this this weekend. I need to move the skis into the garage for the winter.

Put plastic inserts on the bunks or get plastic covered bunks. Ski slides like its on ice

That's essentially what I did. Except I used another truck as opposed to the tree you used. I did this to avoid my ski on a cart on grass. If a tire of the cart sinks in, and that cart rolls, it could be a bad day.
