Last Ride For the Season on my Sons Resto 96 Xp

My previous thread on the ski earlier this year
    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=220584

took it out and there were very few boaters on the lake and virtually no wind.
Ran awesome but porposes at top end. It has an aggressive top loader intake grate so today i trimmed out the center and only have the "wings" on the outter sides,, it should help as i have a stock prop and dont plan on changing it because i only have right at $400 (with trade work) in the ski Total and it pegs the Lie-o-meter at 60 all day

Thanks so much, We're proud of it.... its exactly what i had pictured in my head before i started. The seat cover is a Blacktip from SBT along with the Camo Black-white-gray traction mats too

porposing "jumping out of the water" is the only bad thing about that hull. it is so light it just jumps. when mine does that i try to sit as close to the handlebars as possible. sometimes i will put extra gas cans in the nose of the ski, this helps a lot. the more weight on the nose at speeds the better they run, although all that weight while idling and nose is slightly under water.

yeh, i would rather mount something else heavy up there solid. but i like to do long distance runs in the spring and early summer when the river is high enough to so. that little 9 gallon tank just doesn't hold enough gas, thats where the extra cans come in handy.

What about adjusting your VTS down some? Might that help with the porpusing?

it does make a difference but from 3/4 throttle on... it slowly gets worse if you stay in it....
