    2003 octane

My son purchased an octane and I need some technical info.
    1. What is the fuel mixture?
    2. What is the plug gap?
    3. What is the best replacement plug and what number?
    4. We need to purchase a new tether switch key, is there a way to bypass this or do I need to buy one? If I need to buy one where would you go? We live a long distance from any dealers.

    Thank you for your help.

    Brad

    ph2ocraft,

Thank you so much for the data. I will be writing this down for future reference.
The group of people on this site are very nice and appear to be quite knowledgable. I have been observing the site for a long time and just now have needed to ask questions. Its nice to have people willing to help.
Do you use the tether kill switch or have you bypassed it? I have an old 550 kawasaki standup and they don't have this.

Well the decision is yours as to wether you want to use the tether or not but I would at least leave it so the engine dies if anybody falls off the craft.
Your Kawi is designed to keep running in circles, the Octane will not. SO if you have a high idle or lean running condition and the unit takes off with no rider, it could be UGLY!!!

Now there is something worth knowing, I didn't realize that the octane wouldn't run in circles when the rider fell off. I will be investing in the tether...
Thank you, you saved my family some future trouble...
    Have a good evening.
