    Riva Ride Plate?

What is the purpose of upgrading to a riva ride plate? How does it differ from stock and what does it do?

The back of the plate is cut to produce more bow lift thus reducing drag on the hull resulting in speed gains. Also improves straight line handling at higher speeds. It can be a bit of a chor to fit it properly, a little grinding on the top to get it flat with the hull, dry fit first then seal and bolt. Also be prepared to go open loop cooling or use a heat exchanger, either way you'll need the OL kit to use the plate.

You can get your plate done and stay closed loop. It's all in how they machine the "hook" of the ride plate out. Gives you 2-3 mph more. I got 2 mph out of mine.

The purpose is to make your ski faster in smooth water and handle like shit in rough water and in turns.

Send your OEM one out. Either to Jim's plates(sold in the store) or Erik @ speed freaks.
