    this is wrong

You go to a dealer pay full price for an upgraded item. They take whatever stock parts came off the ski and stick them on ebay. Not the first time I've seen this, just irks me a little.

    What's the beef exactly?

They have a stock rear seat cowling and try to sell it on ebay?

    Why not?

Guess they build a custom RXP and didn't need it anymore.

The fact that they charge joe blow full price for an installed item and then sell whatever they took off his ski. You think they give Joe Blow the money? or any part of it?

If I take my brand new car in and get new rims with new tires I expect to get the stock rims and tires back. If the shop were going to sell them I'd expect a discount or cut in the profits.

not sure why this posted twice. I agree atleast they aren't stocking them as oem, although I bet they do on some items.

if they were smart they would re-stock them as new..... i'm very surprised they don't... is that right, no.... but what's the difference? still a brand new unused OEM part

but the customer is the idiot for not asking for their parts back, UNLESS that dealer (RIVA) offers a discount if u let them keep the old stock parts, which is unlikely.

At least they have the ethics not to restock them, a part removed from a ski isn't new, it doesn't belong on the shelf with new parts.
Now I bet they won't let those parts go for anywhere close to the price of stock, new part...

in the case of my ski, i purchased it from riva south in florida. I live in the cayman islands and i had my ski air freighted down here. Riva installed stage 1 on my ski as well as sponsons, supercharger impeller, free flow exhaust, the works. I asked for my original parts and none were sent. When i asked what happened to my parts, the guy laughed and said they just moved to a new office and they were either in a box somewhere, sent back to bombardier or thrown away. You would think after spending in excess of 18 grand getting your ski that they would do better.

I'll bet anyone a case of beer that this story is the norm NOT the exception.
