SC housing came apart.. wtf
Went out riding after my best speed runs to date. was riding wot and my ski went into limp mode. I shut off then restarted and rode back to the dock and noticed a funny sound, metal to metal and no boost. at first I thought really another clutch already. pulled sc off to find that the 2 pcs of the housing separated chewing up my LB wheel. anyone ever seen this before. Not sure why the eliminated the set screw from previous years. Seems like an unnecessary problem was created by a little set screw. I'm guessing just heat from making boost caused the pieces to wanna seperate since they are obviously just pressed together. don't think I would trust pressing back together and using unless I bolt them together.

Time for an R&D water cooled housing. There is a Low Boost wheel for $375 shipped in the classifieds right now. Mise well try and save yourself a couple bucks.

There are issues!! But for a housing to spilt ( bolts loosen, if Housing did not Crack) either it was not tourqed and or proper application methods etc. I use blue locktite on the housing bolts with the heat and rpm/vibration it's a no brainer.
I had my shares with a 19 pound wheel and my housing stayed put but shaft/bearing combo did not help. I know why it happened ( not because of the setup in general). Since I fixed the problem internally I went back and bullet proofed my supercharger ;-).
