    Mod's didn't make it faster!

    Here's my problem;
    I have a 2010 RXTX 260 that just won't rev higher than 8200
    Max speed is 74 and for the amount of coins that went in there, it's just not acceptable!
    I was expecting more like 81-83mph from what I've seen on here.

    You be the judges, here are my mods:
    ET 137 + 4mm SC set at 15# by Jerry less than an hour on it.
    Supertech valve retainer upgrade.
    Fizzle 4" air intake
    160F Riva thermostat mod
    Riva air filter delete
    Torque plate on exhaust
    Catch can
    Vtech tune , tried 8500 AG, 8650 then 9000 still same results.
    Power commander with auto tune, AFR at 11.8 full throtle.
    Riva rising rate set at 58psi
    Solas impeller sent back to Speedfreaks when I couldn't get the revs up, originally had 12.5 /19 with setback mod, now 12.5 / 18, loss some hole-shot but didn't help much top end.
    It also has SF speed cone on the impeller.
    R&D intake grate
    83.5 nozzle

    The motor was freshly rebuilt from a SC failure. Problem was apparent even before SC failure.
    Thought the motor was out of alignment so had it aligned at Seadoo dealer.
    Replaced the carbon seal and pump wear ring.

    Total hours on this ski is 56, less than one on SC.
    I also have a Candopro and it's showing no errors on the machine.
    Don't know water temperature, but it's cold enough for me not to go in unless I really have to,certainly under 70F
    Only time it sees higher than 8200 is when it unhooks

    I'm baffled...

    What injectors and what intercooler ? Is your cooler leaking ?

    Stock injectors, so 48#, stock 2010 intercooler, don't believe it's leaking.
    Heard the bad intercoolers was later on, '11+
    My AFR seem good, so if my injectors where inadequate, wouldn't I see a lean reading at WOT?

    You are correct, you should be 8700-8800 rpm and over 80 mph with everything you have accomplished!

    I suspect the engine rebuild, such as timing being off at the cam. You have the RRFPR set static, correct?

    WHat injectors? ID1000's or VT1000?

    Intercooler - leaking?? Verified??


    IMO, I would have set the SC slip to 17 ft-lbs.

    You said this problem was apparent even before the SC failure…………engine internals and or head needs further inspection…..

    I thought the V tech tunes were matched to the v1000 injectors . Check with V tech .I could be wrong

    Just saw your post on stock injectors…….that IS your problem …..they are maxed out duty cycle.

    Install the ID1000's or VT 1000's injectors and match the tune for them and you WILL see a huge difference.

    Make sure the IC is not leaking also.

    Maybe check valve springs for correct tension too. Cam timing

    Yes, this was apparent even before rebuilt.
    RRFPR set to rise when in boost.à
    Jerry adjusted slip to 15, but I'm not even close the that, max I've seen is 13 briefly one time, usually 12#

    sounds to me like you still have the stock tune
    and its on the rev limit

    cmd will not work with injectors at 100% DC
    the cmd log will show it
