    Crankcase Ventilation?

    This happened @8600 rpms. Looks like the piston decided to go in one direction and the connecting rod in the opposite. I found the wrist pin in the bottom of the ski. It also cut the CB shaft in two. Nothing a little bondo wont fix, right?

    any ring damage

    Had one happen on a old race ski ... Conrad smashed the starter out as well ...

    No ring damage. The top of the piston looks clean.

    doesn't have to be water-- can be gas, oil or any other liquid. I have 2 of these here right now-- 1 was oil and the other was water.
