    Adjustment recommendations? 2014 triton trailer

Just picked up a three month old 2014 triton LTWCI today. I am trying to adjust it for my 2009 FZS so that the bunks and bow stop fit correctly.

The trailer dealer gave me this sheet with the measurement specs on them. Are these pretty dead on? Click image for larger version.

Set the bunks 18 inch apart (from the inside of the bunk) and a fz will sit perfect.

Adjust the bow roller once ski is in place and you have the tongue weight where you want it.

Can you direct me towards how to adjust the tongue weight? I've nerves had to so this before. Sorry for the noob questions.

I personally use a bathroom scale under the jack wheel. With the ski in place (not hooked up to tow rig) you want to move the ski forward and back until you get about 150 lbs. I set mine up closer to 250 as I pull with a one ton truck.

The rule of thumb for tongue weight is 10% of the load but I think that is excessive. You just need enough so the trailer tows properly. When I do post ride maintenance I lift the tongue high to drain the water out of the ski so I put enough weight on it so it doesn't "tip up" on the ski. You'll notice the mount for the bow stop is slotted so move it fore and aft to get the tongue weight you want. In an extreme case you may have to move the axle (as I did when I went from an FZS to an RXT).

Say, can you scan that Triton document flat and square and post it?

It would be helpful for others, perhaps even for non-Triton trailers.

You got it boss. Let me see if I can get it scanned to a flat document. Where shall I send it or post it?

2014 Triton PWC Trailer Bunk and Bow Roller Adjustment Chart

    2014_TRITON_PWC_FIT_CHART.pdf

Note that the dimensions are shown for the Triton style adjustable bunk mounting brackets, not the actual bunk board spacings. Still helpful to see how the different hulls require different bunk spacing and different bow roller heights.
