    ET LB with 160mm

To those who have successfully run the ET LB wheel with a 160mm prop what pitch were you running and what size nozzle were you running as well. Looking to go to an Et LB from an E1.

Kris dont buy into the hype the LB is no E1 your speed is going to drop.dont get me wrong lots of guys are doing the 160 thing now with the baby wheels but ask yourself how many of them are even over 80.i would consider investing in a 15.5 or better just my .2

Run a 13/19 with a 85mm exit and R&D anti cav cone, it should do 80+

So what about the ET LB with a 155mm. I have a 155mm prop and wearing already on. I could also get the L13 pump cane to get rid of cavitation.

I considered running a Riva 160mm pump with a LB wheel but didn't want to drop below 80 mph. So I decided to stick with the 155mm pump. The lucky 13 cone did not solve my cavitation issue. I would of had to repitch my 14/24 impeller to a 16/24 and test from there.

A twin prop is your best option for a limited setup with no cavitation IMHO. Pitched correctly there shouldn't be any compromises with a 155 pump.

I had hoped to have my new stator/pump assembled by now for some water testing, but the cold weather has set in early this year in NY. I am waiting on one more part that is back ordered. (impeller spacer) I decided to just build a completely new pump from the driveshaft on back.

i ran a et LB with a R3 and never liked the performance of the ski with the 160mm always ended up with too big of a nozzle or too small of a pitch, it felt ok at one point but the nozzle was just too big and would unload too fast in choppy conditions and the ski would unhook all the time.

the best prop i ever used with that setup, ET LB and R3 @ 8600 was a 158mm skat swirl pitched to 14/22 thru a 84mm nozzle and R&D cone.

and prior to that prop the best one i liked in 155mm was a swirl 15/23 thru the same nozzle, but the 158 would cavitate less. accell harder and stay hooked up better.

Since you already have all the supporting mods, I would just go with a 15.5/160 combo to make tuning much easier. But if you have your heart set on running a LB wheel, the 158 is a great setup.

There is a local rider that has a 2008 FX SHO running a LB wheel with a 158 combo, pitched to a 14/21 & with an 85 nozzle. That thing just grabs & GOES... With good offshore hookup too.

Leendart has a 158 prop and liner FS. Maybe you two can work something out.
