Where else is the ace motor used?
Have an idea for a project and I'm thinking that the ace motor from the spark would be ideal. Except for the wet exhaust. Does brp use that motor for other applications like bikes for snowmobiles? Any info is appreciated.

The Spark uses the 900 ACE motor, there is a 800 and 1000 I think in the Ski-Doo snowmobiles and a 1330 in the Can-am Spyders

I remember in one of the reveal videos posted on this site, that it was a tried and proven platform used on some sleds. A quick google search will provide oggles of reading, according to this link from brp: http://www.brp.com/en-us/innovation/...stroke-engines the 600 was the first in the series, and the rotex 1200 4tec doesnt appear to fall under the "ace" series. There is alot more info on sleds using the ace 600/900 than I care to cipher through. Although one thing i noticed is that the ace 600 was the first in the series as a twin cylinder and the 900 followed up as a 3 cylinder. If there is a larger as tiny suggest, I didnt look hard enough to find it.

Smaller is probably better. Since I will need to locate a crashed donor sled, can anyone offer up a year and model that the 600 was introduced? There are way too many sled models to sort through on the site.

Another quick google serch would make it seem that the ace 600 was first seen in 2010 in a couple 2011 model year sleds.2011 Ski-Doo MXZ TNT and 2011 rev-xp. Maybe there are more models i am not going to spend more than the 30secs it took to find those too.
I also noticed the 800 ace tiny spoke of earlier, so there are a few to choose from it would seem.

Echo, i don't know if your having a bad day or just a natural douchbag, but if you don't want to answer questions, then why are you on internet forums?
I have searched, and it left my head spinning. Since there are about 20 different models of snowmobiles from Yamaha and SD, each with an alphabet soup of names and sub models i really am hoping someone can just specify a year and model, either brand. So let me rephrase what i am asking, maybe it will clarify the info that i am looking for.
I asked about the ACE because i thought it was BRP's first small 4 stroke for sleds or watercraft.
I am looking for the year and model of the cheapest sled with a small 4 stroke engine that is fuel injected, and reliable. I need 50-100 hp, dry exhaust, 6-8k rpm max. the lighter the better.
Some considerations:did the early ones have teething issues like the 4tec in the rxp's that should be avoided?
I want to repower my hovercraft if that matters. It came with a 2 stroke yamaha snowmobile engine. when that popped i put a 2 stroke rotax. well that popped too.
