Rather Interesting: Boost vs. RPM's (Riva B1)
I have (2) SHO's with the same exact mods as listed in my sig. Both are producing 8-9psi *(Autometer mechanical gauge) at 8,000rpms and running 76.5+/-mph on GPS. So either I have (2) gauges that are reading incorrect boost levels or the B1 wheel really does not produce 11.5psi at 7,700 rpms.
Armon at Riva says 76.x is spot on where the ski should be running with my mods.

Do you have any mods letting additional air into the hull? My FRS with B1 and stock IC didn't make over 10 psi until 8550 rpm and the seat off. Extra air intakes allowed me to run fast with the seat on. Point is if the styrofoam inserts are still in and you haven't added any way for more air, that can be holding boost down a bit and rpm too.

The B1 is widely known for "optimistic" boost numbers.

Yes, I have (3) FrogzSkin 2" vents installed in the rear of the hull up near the tow hook. My first batch of test runs was without the rear seat.

even though you have a B-1 wheel they usualy will not make 10-11 psi of boost till 8300+ rpms, also with the higher boost wheels the oem svho ic is holding you from making better boost numbers it's just too restrictive. Bite the bullet and invest in a good larger aftermarket IC you won't regret it and you will see your boost number get closer to what you expect them to be, Tommy Jordan

Tommy, not sure I want to bite a bullet in order to drop $1000+ on an aftermarket IC for "maybe" 1-2 mph.

So you guarantee "at least" 2mph with your IC over a stock SVHO intercooler on my SHO without any other changes?
