    honda prop in yamaha pump

Been looking on here for ideas to get the most speed out of a conversion ski . Can anyone tell me what honda prop and what mods are made to it so as it will fit the gpr pump and shaft .

Skat 17 28 and have Glen at skat convert it for your shaft. It will take alot of hp and torque to spin it and I would suggest using it with caution on a supercharged boat in stock pitch. It's a steep prop.

The ysdf 15-22 is a great prop for speed on a conversion if you're after mid and top end. I really liked it prior to going turbo. That prop is capable of 100mph with the right setup and high rpm. It's a great prop for speed per rpm.

I've yet to try and holeshot the prop in effort to keep my pump in one piece. We generally go from 40-50mph kicks when testing, but have gone as low as 20mph or so without problems when we were running lower boost levels. In stock pitch and running spring pressure (20psi in the gate) we ran right over 100mph and uner 8700rpm if my memory serves me correctly. I'm not currently around my computer to verify speed vs rpm. Based on rpm to speed, this prop really shines but it does take a lot of torque to spin in stock pitch.

Its for a race over here . B2B mostly flat 35+ miles flat out from a standing start . Want to keep revs around 8500 @ 90+ mph . Last years winner was 83mph ski , the old saying to finish first, first you must finish .thinking maybe a honda prop is what we need .I have a seadoo pump on mine and just looking at different ideas . There are so many options for a conversion ski . Pumps ... you have skat pumps ... yami pumps . Riva pumps .and with the seadoo adapter so many more ...... by the looks the boys who run the st johns on conversions @90+ mph mostly run yamaha pumps , but with what props im not sure .... maybe people could tell us what props / pumps/ speed and revs they running

If you want speed the best setup for a stock Yamaha pump and a stock GPR drive shaft is a Yamaha jetboat prop. It will bolt right up with no mods and its a very cheap prop. Easy speeds over 100 mph.

That depends on which one you buy. The one runs 16.7/23 part number 6S8-r1321-10-00

You will need like a 16/27 in a Solas Dynafly to run the same type of rpms.
