    1997 speedster drive shaft question

That silly plastic thing that covers the drive shaft. Need or not. I'm not in a weedy environment.

i have a 1996 speedster I just bought and have a 1997 I've been running this year. Can I just get rid of the drive shaft covers?

thanks. I also have a seadoo explorer and it does not have one.

Yes, get rid of them...They were designed to keep rope from wrapping around the shaft if you sucked some up but all is did was break the plastic...Make sure you get all the pieces out, even if they are tucked up into the thru hull fitting
