    Joel's 2014 FZS SVHO

    Hey guys,
Thought I would start a build thread on my 2014 FZS SVHO.
The following is a list of modifications I performed on the ski:

RIVA SVHO 'GEN-2' Power Cooler Kit
Riva Engine Cooling Upgrade Kit for Yamaha SVHO Skis
RIVA FX-SHO/FZ Power Cooler Blow-off Valve Kit
RIVA Performance Power Filter Kit for all FZ Skis & 2011 & Older
RIVA Yamaha 1.8L Engine Breather Upgrade Kit for 2012 and newer
RIVA Intake Manifold Upgrade Kit for SHO/SVHO/HO Skis
RIVA 'GEN-3' Super-duty Supercharger Shaft Kit
R&D SVHO ECU R3 Reprogramming Service
R&D Ride Plate for 2014 + FZ SVHO
R&D Intake Grate for 2014 + FZ SVHO
R&D Pump Seal Kit for R&D 2014 FZ SVHO Intake Grate
RIVA Last Drop Oil Extraction System for 2012 + Yamaha 1.8L engi
RIVA Pro Series Cylinder Head Gasket for SHO/FZ
RIVA Upgrade Kit, Valve Retainers; YAM 1.8L Eng
Lucky 13 Adjustable Pump Cone for OEM Yamaha SVHO Pump
    SOLAS 13/20 IMPELLER FOR SVHO
FZR Pump Tunnel Reinforcement for 2009+
RIVA FZR/FZS Billet Mirror Block Off's
    R&D / TTO Tachometer
    Removed foam inserts
Re-located flush fitting to rear of watercraft

I took the ski out for its first test run on the weekend.
In stock form it ran 69.2mph or 111.7kph @ 7700rpm
    After Modifications it ran 82.6mph or 133.3kph @ 8180rpm

    This Beast is insane!

That speed was ran in very wind conditions and with all parts just straight bolted on with no fine tuning.
If anyone could give advice on where to go from here with fine tuning my setup that would be much appreciated.
    Thanks for your time,
    Joel

Why did you change the head gasket?

Open up the nozzle to 85mm should give you about 1 more mph.

Foam delete. Under the fake air scoops on the sides are stuffed with flotation. Pull the scoops, remove the foam pieces and reassemble.

Hey leendert I changed the head gasket because I removed the head to do the valve retainers.
i was thinking to maybe open up the Venturi nozzle to 86mm and steering nozzle to 91mm?

    Hey jwaked,
i chose not to do exhaust because off the added noise and that it would give minimal gain in power. I'd rather hear the sucking of the pod filter and the dose of the BOV than listen to a droney exhaust all day. But that's just my opinion.
however they do give a nice clean look without all the exhaust baffles in the hull.

If you do the Tommy Jordan exhaust mod you'll like it. No drone at all.
