    Supercharger Grease Question

I will be doing my first supercharger rebuild this winter and have read through the instructions that come with the oem kit.

What is the purpose of the Isoflex grease and is it really required ? From my understanding the grease is there to hold the needle bearings in place during assembly then it will get washed away once the charger gets oil flow.

I change the supercharger kit for first time and in all the parts i used as the instructions says isoflex and etc ,except at the final step when i insert the supercharger back to engine and the manual says isoflex or white grease or antisized grease i used normal grease oil for trucks i Think that was wrong but after 30 hours of use idont think that somethink went wrong !!!!!!

If I need it I'll get a small tube.

There has been no sign of grease on any charger I have removed to check slip so why is it required at rebuild ? Hold needle bearings during assembly ? Lubricate at first start until oil flows through the gear and washers ?

If you have a late model shaft you can push oil up through the centre hole with a oil can to lube the clutches etc .... just before you fit it to yr ski ....

I would use a Vaseline for assembly and lube until the new bearings get oil pressure to oil them. Or use engine assembly lube to protect on first start up either will be good and mix with engine oil with out a problem.
