Purchased A bad motor from another member

I purchased a bad engine (it was supposed to be good) from a fellow green hulk member and I was wondering if anyone has advice on how and where to tell my story. I just don't want anyone else to be taken advantage of like I was.

The other member was not able to come to a resolution with you on this matter?

    What payment method?

How long ago did this occur?

No The other member said to ship it back for a refund at my cost. Refund only after he receives it. Yet he won't answer my calls. When I call from my wife's phone# and say who I am he hangs up. I don't know why? I never got nasty I just simply said, through text only since my calls go unanswered; that I received the motor with water in the crankcase along with pieces of copper wire and hard black plastic hose material. Payment was made through paypal. He had sent a invoice to my paypal account. I paid for the engine on 10/13/14 and received it yesterday. I filed a claim with paypal and they said I have to send it back first before anything will happen. But what if I send it back and he flakes out? I mean how can you trust someone for a second time who won't even answer the phone on purpose.

once the paypal seller receives the item back PayPal will start a refund process.

Unless your deal had very specific terms, it's typical that you have to pay the freight back.

For the return shipment a short video of it being boxed and picked up will protect you against the inevitable:

"shipped me back a box of bricks..your crazy?" response.

go to your cell providers web pages and get dumps of the 3 second and no answer calls you've made to this asshats telephone number. Helps bolster your case with PP that he's playing the caller ID game

This sucks. This same sort of thing happened to another member here not too long ago. The person who sold the motor to him mysteriously disappeared from here..........This is supposed to be a place where we all trust each other.

Remember......when buying from someone not known to you, do not send payment as a gift!!!!!! If the person is insistant on it, tell them you will cover the 3 percent fee in the payment. This retains your Paypal protection in case something like this happens.

If it is someone here that has been a member for some time, has a higher post count, and is well known among other members, Its usually safe to buy from them.
