Increasing Ventilation/Intake Air Into FX SVHO Hull

This morning I took the side panels off and discovered Inlet diverter molded pieces on the outside of the hull where the 4" vent ducts go into. I removed these. Fairly straight forward only took about 20mins total. And I snapped a few pictures for you all. Tools - 10mm socket/ratchet, 10mm wrench, 1/4" bit, Phillips screw driver. There are 4 total bolts on the left side and 5 on the right. Remember to remove them all to avoid damage to the panel. Also top gauge bezel must be removed to get to top bolts and also the reverse shifter plastic must be removed for clearance and to get to bolt behind it. The 1/4" bit is to drill head off rivets holding on these diverters . Once the diverters are removed remount side panels and nobody would ever know they're gone

On my FZ I run the Kanaflex hose stright from the scoop to the blower. If you don't ride in chop this is a must do.

On the fx there is no scoop for "ram air" type inlet with how the plastics are but would give us a nice dose of cool air. My conditions vary from glass to 4' waves depending on the weekend so don't want to risk a gulp of water.

CCW- where did you install the 2" vents? I used to ride without the rear storage and seemed to help ventilation a lot as well with the gap of the rear seat. Now I have the friebe cell so it's sealed off again....

Every time you mod your ski ventilation... Don't forget your ski could roll over...

True!! What I did is just made holes staggered then a custom Prefilter. It won't stop the Rain but it will not be a water spout either
