Question on how to get the best price for a SeaDoo; please help a newbie :-)
So I'm looking to purchase my first PWC. I want a supercharger, my wife wants suspension, and we both want to buy new. Thus, the RXT-X aS 260 seems like the logical choice. I like the 2014 and 2015 colors equally well, so I will take either one.
1. What time of the year will I find the best bargains on such a SeaDoo? I know winter is best, but is there a "peak" month for the very best prices?
2. I live in Kentucky and thus there is only 1 SeaDoo dealership in town. They have a 2014 RXT-X aS 260; Sticker price is $16,699 (same as MSRP) but is now "marked down" to $14,999 but I have the distinct feeling that I can get it for A LOT cheaper if I shop-around. In general, will I get better prices if I buy from a place in the south (Alabama, Florida, etc)?
3. Since winter is coming on fast, the local place offered to let me buy the SeaDoo now and leave it in their warehouse till spring so I don't have to winterize it for this year. Is letting you buy now and take delivery of a SeaDoo come spring a service most dealerships offer? This is a very appealing idea since I won't have to winterize and store it this winter.
Thank You in advance for your help, and see you on the water this spring!

The aS models are a real pain in the ass to work on....there really is no need for suspension...convince your wife to agree on the RXT-X 260 rather than the aS, your wallet will thank you!

Also PWC's aren't like some items with thousands of mark up. Many of these skis sell for about 1.5K off list +/- $300. Anything nearing 2K off list on new ski is usually considered a pretty good deal.

I currently have 2 suspension ski's, If your older and ride in rough or ocean your body will thank you. theres no comparison, If your mechanically inclined there not to bad to work on, Takes me 15 minutes to unbolt and tilt rear up to service everything that cannot be serviced under the seat.
Whatever you do get the longest best warranty you can, will go a long way on resale down the road. you can usually get a good deal on ebay on factory warranties
