    Polaris X45 Winter Upgrades

I'm wanting to spend the winter upgrading my Polaris X45. So far I've added a batwing ride plate and 707 prop and I'm loving the prop but now I want to change the carbs and exhaust. I know I need the 40mm Keihens off a Virage 1200 and a redpipe exhaust, I assume off a Virage also. I know a couple people have done these mods and just looking for advice before I buy. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What you want to do is pretty straight forward. You will need a water box as well. One from any of the domestic triple powered skis that use the red pipe will work. Except for a box from a Pro 1200.

Prop makes a huge difference in how the ski rides doesn't it? I will gladly give up the 1 or 1.5 MPH it costs from the stock 202 for the bottom end punch it gives you.

You are on the right track...red exhaust pipe and waterbox...plenty of people on here with those available...hard part is going to find an exhaust hose to go from the waterbox to the outlet fitting. Keihin carbs are a must also...I know where you can get a brand new set with the latest and greatest version if interested...otherwise I'm sure there are people here with a used set as well. Getting a set of higher compression heads though is the best bang for your buck!...want 150-155psi compression heads.
