Young Guns: Phil Segers
Sixteen-year-old Belgium native, Phil Segers is considered one of the hardest charging young competitors on the rise. He is currently in his sixth year of racing, and has already won a Junior Ski Slalom World title and in 2012, he was victorious over the largest number of competitors to date in the Amateur Ski Lites class, gaining his second World Title.
Segers got involved in racing through his father, Bart Segers who also raced. Phil had his first ride when he was one-year-old and at an age of 6 he started to ride a stand-up on his own. At the age of nine, he started racing and his first complete racing season was in 2009.
