and found out I can't get paper work for it!
Can I transfer all componets to my 96 Sl780 or should I parts it out.
Ski is not Hot but can't get paper work due to owners death.
Any Help Thanks

Just move the vin tags from the 780 over to the 785.

There has to be away to transfer a title from a dead person. People die all the time it should not be to hard.
Or if you want sell it to me and ill take care of it..

Get in touch with the executor of the owners estate. It is public record and should be easy to do. Or just swap HIN tags & reg #'s

I too thought it should be easy but after the fact I found that the guy I got it from said he tried and was way to involved.
not sure if a PA State thing or what.
I thought about ID tag thing because I have clear paper work for 780
But I just spent 1000.00 on new parts.

Georgia doesn't have titles for skis, so a bill of sale will suffice. Just have your "seller" make up a bill of sale with a Georgia address and you're good to go. (ie make your own bill of sale!) This worked for someone I know in New York.
Good call on checking if it's stolen first. I hate thieves, had a beautiful 2 stroke bike that belonged to my wife stolen from the paddock at Loudon, NH.

Thanks guys for all your info.
I got parts for my other ski so 785 is on back burner for a short time.
