    Yamaha fx sho 2008 supercharger

    Hi guys so as i said a few days ago i bought this fx sho 2008 with just 40hrs. Sooo, i m reading a lot of threads of people with very low hours having problems with the supercharger clutch. So now i have a couple of questions. If the gears on the clutch shear you have to take off the engine to clean sump from broken teeth and debris. And i really dont like it to happen during summer season. What do u guys think is best to do?? I heard that riva have some gear dampener. Should i leave everything as it is? Or should i buy the dampener kit? I dont really have the budget for the dampener kit but i will make funds if u think that it s better to make the preventive work on the sc. Thanks very much!!!

    Another important information for u to know is that the ski is totally stock!

    If somebody suggest me to do the dampener kit etc, how much will it cost please? Parts only, cause i will try to do the work myself

    if its a stock 2008 charger, leave it until it blows, it will only more than likely just break the sprag. no teeth shearing. that teeth breaking off occurred on the 2010-2012 clutches. when your 08 breaks just swap it out with a 2013+ no need to remove engine.

    So i only the sprag from a 2013+ ski? And does the sprag fit on the 08 clutch? Or i ll have to change the hole unit?
