    No Spark

    Need advice please!
I have a 1996 Polaris SL900 that was running a few weeks ago but now has no spark! Does anyone have a copy of the ignition trouble shooting procedure?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Steve

Thanks for the welcome and info

The tech info enabled me to determine the #2 trigger coil was bad. I unhook it and the motor fired on 1 and 3. So my next question is how tough is it to change out the stator with the motor in the boat? Where can i get an inexpensive stator and does it matter whether the ignition has been upgraded or not.
    Thanks for your help.

I changed mine out while the motor was still in the boat...it's not fun, but totally possible. I did pull the tank though, which came out through the front. You can get the stator update kit for about $300...order from Jay at Atlantic Sports for a 10% discount. The stator update kit also includes a new updated CDI.

I too have changed them in the boat. I think the key for getting the job done is the correct flywheel puller. It's going to be tight and you're going to think something broke when it snaps loose.
Have fun, any questions just give us a shout.

I'm not familiar with the domestics, so forgive me if this sounds dumb. #2 trigger coil is in the stator? Did the coil test OK?

The Domestic has a sequential firing system and your Fuji fires all coils at the same time.
When the one of the pick ups short it shuts down the CDI and no spark.
By disabling the short the CDI comes alive but no spark is delivered to the cylinder in question as it has no signal from the stator.

Thanks for the info. It just sounded odd to me that the trigger coil was bad, and he wanted a stator.
