    Roughest swells ?

    Hey everyone,

I'm planning on fishing off of my jetski tomorrow, weather is predicting 6mph winds and 7ft waves coming in 14 second intervals, just wondering if anyone would normally brave these conditions? I know theyre not prime, but i dont plan on blasting around. I'll have some crab traps too, so i may just head out there, drop traps and head back into the safety of the harbor. I know wind has a big impact on condition but 6mph out there is pretty decent. Any info would help!
I ride an 05 rxt with a bilge

    Thanks!

I know what I'd do. Go to the fish market, buy the best crabs you can find using the gas money you will save by not going. With the remainder of the saved gas money, buy some beer and watch a bit of sport safely at home.

Now if you're looking for a thrilling afternoon, saddle up, hit the gas and hold on for your life - ye how!!

    Just stay safe.

Where do you live that 6mph winds kick 7 footers?
Dont go out alone, take a buddy or two. And a radio.
Make sure someone knows your time leaving and time scheduled back.

This. 6mph will barely kick-out a few footers around here in the gulf. Having fished in different water conditions from flat to 8-10ft swells in a 55' F/V you are completely nuts for contemplating it on a ski. Couldn't even imagine how uncomfortable it would be as well, sounds like a high risk of shit hitting the fan.

Rode 18-20' waves in 50-60mph winds yesterday, but I wasn't fishing like you plan....

...on the other hand I never seen so much trash in this lake I think anything floating in the whole lake got blown down here.
