    I'm gonna need a trailer

Alright, PWC newby here. I'm going to be buying my 1st ski ever in a few months and naturally,I will need trailer. I want to save $$$ and not need to buy anything from the dealer if I don't have to. I've found a nice single trailer on craigslist. It's a like new EZ loader with very little use. The guy was asking $850 and I've negotiated down to $600 is this a good deal for this trailer? Is it a significant enough saving to justify not buying one from the dealer? And will a 2015 FXHO fit on this trailer? Are all PWC trailers interchangeable with all PWC?

Looks goid, check wheels for side play regards to wheel bearing wear. Check tires for cracking and that all lights work.

Make sure that the ski fits on there or half of the ski is going to be out of the trailer...........

No. Trailers are rated for weight and also limited by how long the watercraft can be. Older trailers and inexpensive trailers (when they were new) often are marginal for the larger models of PWC that are now quite common.

Even if the trailer weight rating is enough to carry your brand new 2015 Yamaha, the length from bow roller to the rear edge of the support bunks may be limited.

There is a lot of good info posted elsewhere regarding watercraft trailers and how they should be configured. Pay particular attention to how the tongue weight is adjusted and how the bunk spacing under the hull needs to be set.

Also check the age of the used trailer tires. Anything older than five years should be replaced with new tires regardless of how much tread remains on the old tires. Trailer tires age and weaken from age and exposure, not tread wear.
