How to remove the drive shaft

im currently in the process of replacing my driveshaft bearing and bellow. i have taken apart the impeller housing etc. in the rear of the jetski. it is now just the shaft but when i pull on it it springs back in. how do i remove the shaft? i havent taken the carbon seal or bearings yet wondering if thats what holds it back. Still very new to working on jetskis

hose up into the bellows/front of the drive shaft with PB blaster or the alike, put a shallow 13mm socket in the impeller then bolt the pump back on. After 30 minutes or so try knocking the top hat back so you can get to the c-clip. It will not be easy looking at the condition of that shaft. None of the parts except the driveshaft(maybe) will be reusable.
