Lost 2miles from top speed .....
Hello to all friends in the forum,i have a rxt is 260 2010 . Before 30 hours i rebuilt the engine ,ichange pistons and all the thinks i had to after a broken piston. After the rebuilt everythink look like working good but i lost about 3 klm from the top speed .i also have change the supercharger kit together with the rectifier . My previous speed was 112-113klm now i hit at the best 108-109 klm . I put it near my friend rxt is 255 And now we go the same top speed 109 klm max . I dont understand why i lost the top speed as at previous time i was better . Do you think is from rebuilt ? Or is it possible from changing the supercharger kit not good instalation ?.? What is your opinons. The wear ring looks good and the rpm is at 8040 ...

It could be a bunch of different things.
What is your compression?
Maybe cam timing is wrong?
Maybe slip on the supercharger is too low?
Maybe you have a boost leak?
Maybe the oil is over filled?
The wear ring "looks good" doesn't cut it. Most people that say their wear ring "looks good" really need to replace it.
These are all things you need to look at. Hope that helps!

why did you break a piston? there is usually a good reason.....
did you change injectors?
was the timing set the same?

Is your ski modded? If it does not have a flash done to the ecu, 8040 is your rev limiter, meaning that your engine is turning the highest it can and the speed loose has nothing to do with the motor.

if the wear ring is not in good condition then you need to change it. Check your impeller as well and the slip moment of the supercharger. If the problem still occurs then you need to check the timing if it was set at the same point.

Also see if the trottle body opens at 99.9%. You need to connect it to the buds system. I am saying this cause you may push the trigger at full throttle, you may see the rpm goes up and speed as well but the throttle body will open at lower percentage.

And if nothing helps then u should try out flashing the ski with a vtech!
