    2014 FZS Cold Air Intake?

Hey Guys, So I recently bought a 2014 FZS. My first mod was the Riva Powerfilter (RY13040).. And then I saw on YouTube the Cold Air intake for the VXS / VXR (RY13060) where the K&N Filter gets mounted under the hood. I would almost rather have the cold air one. Although it says it's for the VXS / VXR I still believe this would work on the FZS.. What are your thoughts? Is it worth it? Should I just stick with the power filter instead? Pro's / Con's?

Your best bet is to get more air into the FZ hull. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...needs+more+air

So I was able to modify the RY13060 VXS / VXR Cold air intake to work with my FZS... Sickest setup. I don't understand why no one has thought of this already. Riva Velocity Stack -> 3.5 ft. 4" Kanaflex Piping -> K&N Filter Mounted under the Hood!

"Cold air" is a myth in the hull of a ski without focusing on proper ventilation first and the FZ hull desperately needs it.

Theres no air going into the front compartment on a fzr/s or any way to vent air into the front compartment. Thats why we all go through the side vents on this hull.

Kanaflex from blower to side vent. Vent is cut out, that's true cold air worth over 150 rpm or more compeared to any air intake kit out there.

True. Unless hull is properly ventilated (no kits for this) and the factory vents are routed close to filter for the cold air. Results will be about same with lower hull temps vs direct vent

Simply locating filter to front compartment will not gain you anything alone. It will actually give a restriction due to having to pull intake air from around front separation bulkhead to the hull. End result you just loose storage space.

See my ventilation thread for ideas and results. The more modded you are the larger the gains. I gained Aprox 250rpm
