Speed gurus, what should I do next? HELP

2014 FZS recreational use, ocean and lakes. Race between friends. Top speed right now 77 mph (will check hoses). Goal 82-85 mph.

-RIVA FZ/FX Performance Power Filter Kit
-RIVA Intake Manifold Upgrade Kit for Supercharged Skis
-RIVA FX-SHO/FZ 'GEN-2' Power Cooler Kit
-RIVA FX-SHO/FZ Power Cooler Blow-off Valve Kit
-RIVA Engine Cooling Upgrade for Riva Power Cooler
-R&D Intake Grate for 2014 + FZ SVHO
    -R&D Plate
-R&D Pump Seal Kit for R&D 2014 FZ SVHO Intake Grate
    -Solas yv-Cd-13/20

    On the way
    -FZR Pump túnel
    -Cone

What should I do next for top speed? Exhaust? Just after wáter box or riva wáter box? What else. Thanks

    Jay

    Good morning Jay-
If it was me I would do a reflash and tune your prop/cone set-up and turn 8600. Thru-hull exhaust will make it sound real nice with a riva waterbox but those are pretty expensive.

I just saw you have a R2. What rpms are you turning?

Sorry forgot, I have the R2 already. I was told R3 no good for jumping waves. Which exhaust is that??

    right now 8000 RPMs

Ditch the R&D plate and put a VX plate on it, depitch prop open up nozzle for more rpms..... Or for ocean riding put stock plate with Jim's mod

If you turn 8600 you will be close to your goal.

I de pitched the Solas down to 18. Open your nozzle to 86mm. You will be over 82 likely with just that

Check out my build thread in my sig. A lot of testing and tuning has been documented.

    If it were me...
    Pump tunnel reinforcement before anything!!!!
Get rid of the R&D ride plate and have the stock one modified by Jim.
Get the R 3 flash or R4 for even more power with 8800 rpm limiter.
Get Riva retainers and use stock valvetrain
    Riva cam gears
    AFR gauge
    Pre 2014 Exhaust cam
    Rising rate regulator setup
Either pitch impeller accordingly or get another one that fits your build and spin it to about 8600 rpm which is safe for those skis.

With that you should be at about 86 mph.

You are almost there just a little more tuning and make these few changes

send prop to Jims performance and pitch to 13/18
also have him mod your stock plate you can shim based on your conditions in smooth water I only use shim in the front
get the R3 reflash you can leave the limiter at 8650

i I just did these same mods and most of what you already have on a 14 FZR and the ski runs 84 with the 13/18 prop you can change the nozzle to a 87 if In the summer you need to get some rpms back my target rpm is around 8450

thanks man. About the prop, I have to send the stock one or the solas to get pitch? Thanks
    Jay
