I used an official Bosch 0258007057. That is an LSU 4.2, not an LSU 4.9 sensor. I went with the 4.2 because that is what VTECH had suggested in a prior article. Since my O2 sensor is only going to be installed while logging (plugged off when not), I figured the 4.2 is going to survive. What I don't know and only VTECH can answer, is if their datalogger has the updated (controller) chip in order to take advantage of the newer 4.9 standard.

Also, I chose that because it has longer leads so I can keep datalogger in forward compartment. Too short and you may need to keep logger strapped above gas tank. The datalogger housing isn't 100% waterproof and don't feel like taking chances.

BTW: For those with dedicated AFR controllers, the LSU 4.9 virtually eliminates "free air calibrations"....provided it has the newer chip on board.

I d like to know also, as I just ordered a vtech map tuner and I am looking into the datalogger as well. So knowing what type O2 sensor to go for is somewhat important.

Supports crafts from 2004-2013. For use with iPhone
Can be used with one ski. Additional VIN licenses can be purchased separately. With the V-Tech Data Logger you can:
View and record data from on board sensors
    Send logs to server
    Read and erase error codes.
Acts as a controller for AFR sensor. (Supports Bosch LSU 4.2 is not included. Must be purchased separately)
