    Quick winterizing question..

Hey fellas.. been a while since I've been on here.. i usually keep my ski in a heated garage so i haven't been that worried about winterizing it... I've decided to keep it in my shop this winter so I'll be winterizing it tomorrow... is the process pretty straight forward? I cant imagine it being much different then my seadoo..

Run a couple of gallons of pink antifreeze through it

    Fog down the cyls

    Clean engine bay

    Take out battery?

Sorry for a repetitive question but im going as soon as I wake up in the morning to get the stuff and don't have the time to really sit down and look it up... thank you all for the help in advance..

Winterizing a FZR: new plugs, oil, oil filter, fog, gas stabilizer, and run on the trailer to get any water out of the system. Wash and wax. You do not need to run antifreeze through the SHO platform.

Any difference with the svho? would it hurt to run a gallon or two through it ?

Same on the SVHO. I know you came from a SeaDoo which (I think) recommend antifreeze, but you really dont need to at all on the SHO/ SVHO platform. Never used antifreeze in either my FZR ('09) or FX HO ('07) and never had an issue as long as they are winterized properly.

Unless you have aftermarket intercooler the only part that will house water would be the waterbox. There will be about 2 gallons or better in there regardless of running it I found. There is room for expansion but I poured some antifreeze in it. Better on safe side I always say...
