    Slow91/Eastside Powersports 2007 RXP-Turbo Build

Hey guys, never really had to time to post a build thread for one of my own personal/shop skis. So im going to show the progress of my 2007 RXP since ive owned it. I purchased the ski from one of my customers who is also a member on here. This ski was modded but could never really perform like it should. I purchased the ski 2 years ago, immediately changed the setup to what I run on every ski I modify. I installed a Riva RRFPR, ET137+3mm with a new rebuild kit, Bosch 45lbs injectors, Innovate MTXL with a Jlewis gauge pod, and UMI steering. I also took all of the yellow plastics off and had them painted red, along with a brand new '10 RXPX seat. My local body shop really did a good job with the paint.

Here is the ski the day I picked it up:

Here it is after the platics were painted and UMI installed:

I ran this setup for 1 summer. Ski had the 137 +3, 15/22 repitched, R&D pump seal, SFR pump shoe support, stock plate, Riva 07 waterbox, and a Riva RRFPR. It went the best of [email protected] This is where the fun begins.

Seeing that this was a pretty fast hull for the amount of mods it had, I decided to build another motor for it. Being this motor had 240hours on it I thought I was time to get a little crazy. In my spare time I started collecting parts for the build, which included:

    Wiseco 10:1 Standard bore pistons
    Stock rods
    Lightened counter balancer
    Lightened flywheel
    Lightened cam sprocket
    ARP head studs
    Full CNC ported head
Custom +1mm intake valves and +2mm exhaust valves
Pistons, and valves were coated with heat barrier coatings
    Full 3 angle valve job

Realizing that the Riva spring kit was not going to be enough for the constant 9K+ rpms and im not a fan of the shelf Supertech spring kit I sourced out my own spring and retainer set. Now Supertech makes my retainers and I have a custom dual valve spring setup for this. At the time I opted for a 29 cam, mainly because I was waiting for my custom grinds to arrive, more on that later. Here is some engine porn:

I decided to go with a ET137+4mm wheel and spacer with this new motor, seeing it was higher compression I felt a smaller, more reliable charger would be a good choice. This is HANDS DOWN the best rec wheel around. It packs an awesome punch:

Engine back installed, I also replaced the UMI steering with 2009 X steering. I had the bard and risers powder coated black as well as the vts housing and finger throttle:

After breaking in the new engine for about 5 hours, fixed a leaking valve cover gasket (brand new oem) and dialing in the 29 cam timing it was time for some speed runs:

As of this summer this is how the ski now sits:

This ski is a MONSTER out of the hole and acceleration. The GPS above was done with 3/4 tank of fuel AFR's in the low 11's and 8700 RPM. Now that im completely addicted with the power and speed of this ski, I decided to add one of the best additions:
    Lucky 13 Pump nozzle

This pump and nozzle combo is outstanding. The ski had some prop spin out of the hole, but these 2 cured that. Just when I thought the ski couldn't possibly pull any harder, it did. Of course this pump is designed for the newer iBr skis, but IT WILL FIT PERFECTLY FINE on an older hull. It takes a slight bit of machining of the nozzle or pump wedge but any machine shop will be able to do this mod:

And because my roots are from the turbo car days, I decided it was time to enter a new chapter:
