    Compression question

I have a 2003 gp1300r and the compression right now is right under 110 on all 3 .... Could it be low because the cylinders were fogged and it is 33 degrees out?

Fogging oil will make it read higher than it actually is...

Hello Austin, welcome to the Hulk. You have come to the right place .... there are still a great number of GP1200 &1300 owners on here. The compression you reported is rather low. 110 lbs, a stoke Gp1300 R, should be about 120+. You never stated how many hours on the ski. If the ski being an 03, it may have a little worn out rings. We some more info about what you know of the history to this ski.

It could just be your gauge your using. if all three are consistent most likely you fine. make sure other two plugs are in and throttle is wide open during cranking and a strong battery. Try another gauge as well if u have access to one.

I agree with scittb it could be just your gauges being off. I have two sets of gauges and they are 10 pounds off consistently. Try another set of gauges. Auto zone will let you borrow a set. As long as they are all trhee the same or close and it is running good you are probably ok.
