    which nozzle are you speed guys using?

    hopefully 87mm.. and everyone has lots of 85mm boat anchors.. i would like to buy an 85mm and cut on it for another project..anyone have one for real cheap just email me [email protected]

    mine is 1mph faster with the 85 vs. the 87

    does the 85 cavitate more than the 87 ?

    Can i assume this:

    85mm has more top speed

    87mm has more holeshot

    The only reason to run and 87 is if your prop is so big an 85 will not pull it.

    87 usually turns 60 more rpm.

    correct. i think the more mods you have the more likely the 87 will benefit you. never noticed a difference on takeoff between the 2. but thats just me

    So if I have the following mods on my 1300, then I should be using an 87? That is what I'm currently running.

    Fernandos reeds and cages
    Jim's ride plate
    keyway
    TJ porting
    jetworks mod
    ported throttle bodies coming soon

    nozzles

    didnt the 1200r`s come with an 87mm
    and the 1300r`s with the 85mm?
