They are both the same temperature range.

The RR is a completely new thermostat that you simply replace.
The Riva is a kit with a tool enabling you to take apart your current thermostat and replace it with the cooler heat range piece.

Another BIG difference.....the Riva kit is not currently available. I'm #1 on their list and they haven't had one to send out yet ! Although they have been promising delivery "any day" for weeks.

how many people do you think are "#1" on their list? Kinda like the whole free flow hood thing, they need to remove it from their literature.

Riva may be bad when it comes to promoting something months before it is available, but R&D is the absolute worst. I'd hate to have to guess at what percentage of the stuff they promote even makes it to production. The parts that do are almost always out of stock. I'll never understand how they can stay in business !

    question

I've been reading a few pages of the forum when I have time trying to get up to speed on the SC/IC's since I have an RXT on the way. I have one question I'm sure there are many more to come. Can the Riva set up be disassembled a second or third time if needed to replace the thermostat should it ever go bad? If some parts will be unusable if disassembled can Riva supply just the parts needed to reassemble?
