    question on new injectors

    I have a 2004 gtxsc ltd, obviously it has the 38lb injectors, but I think they gunked up or something. The problem is my ski has a terrible time restarting after a ride. So, I plan to get an ET127 at some time in the future, but maybe not for a while. The question is, would it hurt me to upgrade to 42lb injectors before I get the wheel, or should I just have my stock injectors cleaned. cleaning is about 60$ vs 200 for new. Im also using oil during each ride, but not leaking.

    Mods: riva grate, stock IC, and 4in intake.

    What he said and also if it fires fine cold after a few cranks then gives you problems hot you probably have a leaky injector. If it's that bad to where it doesn't want to start you easily smell it in your oil and the oil level itself might be higher than normal.

    cleaning is not enough!
    have them flow tested after cleaning
    remember 185 skis have a different flywheel so you must re-use your 185 SC gear
    running 42lb injectors will make your ski run very rich..not the best thing
    but probably not rich enough to hurt anything but gas milage

    another note. When I forgot to plug in an injector when I ran 50s and a X-SC it easily fired off of 2.

    Yes it is a 185, im aware of the flywheel sc gear issue but i might still go for the et127 down the road. I just wanted to know whats more cost effective. The ski is using oil but only smokes a little after a wot run. I think il wait for the whole sc upgrade kit.
