    Winterization - fuel removal

I have a 2012 fx sho and I put super in the tank about 2 months ago. I want to take it out and refuel with super and stabil. What's the easy way to get the old fuel out?? Yes it's a little to cold for me to get out on the water for a run. Thanks for the suggestions in advance.

Pump for the drill. The pump should then be rinsed with plenty of water immediately to prevent the seals go through the gasoline broken. Do I Always so, is wonderful, fast and clean, and the part costs around $ 15.

Photo is of a Gardena brand pump designed for pumping water, not gasoline.

Electric drills often produce sparks and have a fan that draws in air past the brushes, so a seal or hose failure could spew gasoline while the drill is running. Safety issue, methinks.

A battery powered drill that is sealed to the outside air would at least reduce the ignition risk. An AC powered drill seems like a bad idea.

So just buy some tubing and push it into the gas tank and pump into a gas can. Where might I buy a pump, ace hard ware.. Or the like. I didn't know if the tank had a restriction or something.

No restriction if you go from the front direct to tank, I guess the AC pump was a bad idea, i will just stick with the suck up gravity fed system .... jsy hate it when I get some gas in my mouth.

I use a 12 volt in line fuel pump to empty my boats tanks for maintenance every few years or so. It holds a 115 gallons so it's not quick but works ok.

Why do you want to do this anyway? Unless you're going to be storing the ski for at least a year, it seems a pointless exercise in paranoia. I've never had fuel go bad on me after a few months of non-use even when I've neglected to put in stabilizer.

Just buy a universal outboard fuel line or make your own: http://www.amazon.com/Marine-Univers...ATQYAFS7QRSY8N
To prime the bulb just insert the line into the fuel fill and point the bulb up in the direction of the arrow on it and squeeze until gas flows. Put the end of the discharge line in a container that is lower than the fuel tank in the boat and watch it drain.
