1998 Kawasaki STX 900 to 1100 engine swap
I have a locked up 1998 Kawasaki STX 900 I am replacing the engine with an STX 1100. The exhaust manifold from the 900 bolts right up to the 1100. Is there iany difference in the STX 900 and the STX 1100 manifold and exhaust. Also the carbs mount right up. I think they are both 38mm. Any issues anyone recognizes?

900 carbs have different jetting. I have tried to re-jet 900 carbs and run on an 1100, and it did not work well for us. ( this was in a SXR though). I think the internal circuitry is different as well.
I "think" the 900, and 1100 exh manifolds have different porting sizes. I know the exh pipes are different.
