Thanks to you, I'm a new RXP X260 Owner in Charleston, SC!

When I went out on the water on some rental skis this past summer, I knew I wanted one of my own. Started researching and decided that the GTR 215 was the one I should get. After 3 months of research and thanks to this forum, I ended up buying the RXP X260 two days ago!

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Ashley Kolson and John Chapman at Charleston Powersports. I had a great no-pressure sales process... They were courteous and willing to go the extra mile. I got a great ski at a great price. Also a special shout out to Norman McDonald for helping me out with the hitch!

Now the question is who's out here in the Charleston area - I'd love to connect and perhaps plan some rides in the water!

    Thanks so much guys!

Any guidance on first service? I've heard about conflicting info - some say 25hrs, others say 10hrs. Local service manager says bring it in after 10hrs ($120) and then he says to winterize it (another $100). What are your thoughts? I'm in Charleston, sc - so no snow but it does get down to 45 at nights.

Grew up about a mile from the Charleston Coliseum, which is right next to where you bought the ski. A lot of great places to ride in the low country. My favorite is the Ashley River. Have fun!

14 models are 50 hours for first service. I personally changed the oil in my 14 at 9 hours, but if you go by the book the first service is 50.
The first service for 13 models was 25 hours, and I believe all prior years were 10 hours.
I was told that the reason for the change was due to BRP collecting data over the years, and they came to the conclusion that the early services were not needed.

For warranty purposes I let the dealer do the 50 hour service on mine, but it's really just an expensive glorified oil change.
