Question How can I make the RXP handle well in rough water

I ride in open water and its very choppy and my RXP makes more time in the air than in the sea

What can I do to have this thing ass planted to the sea !!!!!!

Handling mods I have Riva Intake Grate and Riva Sponsons all way down , I tried normal OPAS block offs and PRO OPAS Block offs, didnt like the ski at all with them

What can I do ?? RXT Beat me all the time in this type of weather

    Please give me your thoughts

It's difficult to out run a RXT in really choppy conditions. You can try putting on the skegs. Trim & throttle controll is also a key.

the worx intake is the solution for you, but you will lose 0.5-1 mph on flat water

The key to rough water handling

    1) Skegs
    2) Race Engineering blockoffs
    3) R&D or WORX grate

I always trim down in the rough. Trimming up causes the pump to unhook more, thus slowing you down.

Try a search. Here is a thread from about a month or so ago.

Pump wedge will make his rough water problem worse.

I hate to say this but go buy the new Kawi. I hear it is so amazing in the rough stuff that even an RXT is no match for it. Shootout in the magazines this month and endurance race results seem to confirm that.

The kawi has certainly raised the bar in rough water.

    On the rxp.
    RE Blockoffs.
R&D intake grate. The others do NOT compare in rough water.
Sponsons set all the way back and modified to fit on top of the RE blockoffs.

    other stuff...
Side lifter wedges to keep your feet on the ski.
    Good seat cover.
    UMI steering.
    Finger throttle.
