LHorning here has what you need. All new crank and pistons.

Here are some of my past winter projects. My introduction to water toys was this 1986 Century 6 meter. I did a complete restore using only the hull. The boat sat outside for 10 years until I rescued it .

    Thats my next question .

    1) Rebuild myself vs purchase rebuilt engine ??? Was quoted $1650 with 2 year warrenty
    2) Any engines for sale out there ??
    3) If I build it myself what can I expect to pay ? The case I can repair.

Easy to rebuild yourself. Plenty of help and tech forums. So many of us have had and still have these skis.

Just curious about where you were looking at the 2 year warranty motor. If it's sbt you may be better off sending the crank off to be repaired and replacing the cylinder with a stock used one NOT a sleeved one. Then do the build yourself.
