EZ Throttle Extender
has anyone tried this product out?
When I first started riding I had a thumb throttle on my gtx and rx. Then I had a finger throttle on my rxp and now on my rxt.
I have to admit that I think the thumb throttle was a better design. I was able to hold on with all of my fingers while my thumb pushed the throttle. My thumb would never get tired even after riding all day in chop.
The finger throttle I have to position two fingers on the throttle and two on the handle bar. Its awkward, and in chop its hard to keep holding on while trying not to pull the throttle more, making the problem worse.
Why did they switch to finger?
Am I the only one to like thumb throttle?

spin the finger throttle to the other side of the bar and move it a bit away from the grip. BAM! Thumb lever
Your're right though. Thumb lever is much easier when riding aggressively.

I'm the other way around. I feel that the finger throttle gives me better grip. always felt that I wouldn't be able to hold on if hit a wave that threw me up and forward with a thumb throttle.

Assuming you don't have cruise control, in the chop I hold the throttle with my index finger, with my remaining fingers on the grips. I then slide my fingers down the grip slightly, so that they go behind the throttle lever. I then pinch the throttle lever against my middle finger. By doing it this way you cant maintain a full grip and have absolutely consistent throttle control. You can vary the throttle by adjusting the your index finger and middle finger position.
Works well for me, but on long rides I much prefer cruise.

I haven't tried the cruise control yet. I went on a long trip once this year but the water was glass.
I'm surprised sea doo hasn't developed adjustable throttle control to switch between thumb or finger throttle.
