Converting GPR trim to a lever style

I have seen pics on here and I have seen the Riva setup to convert the GPR trim system to a lever from the twist grip. My question is, what parts are needed to do this conversion, and how exactly is it done? It appears that one of the 2 cables coming from the twist grip is replaced by a spring. What do I need for a cable, and what lever would be compatible if I could use the existing cable?

    Bryan,
I know you have seen the kits from RIVA, but I figured I would post these here anyhow. That way you have some reference pics at least. Maybe you can zoom in on cable ends?
Its that spring loaded piece that's gonna be the unicorn.
